CONCORD, NH – For the 11th time, WalletHub has ranked New Hampshire the #1 state for taxpayer return on investment. In response, House Majority Leader Jason Osborne released the following statement.
“New Hampshire’s first-in-the-nation ranking for return on investment is no mistake. Thanks to our Republican leadership, we are a beacon of fiscal responsibility. We can never take this for granted, as Democrats are actively trying to tank our ranking by enacting a one-billion-dollar income tax.”
He elaborated, “Just yesterday, Saint Anselm College released data showing that 71% of Granite Staters oppose an income tax. Yet, when asked to put the question to the voters of whether or not to ban income taxes from our state, 97.5% of House Democrats voted against it.”
He concluded, “With a supermajority in the state Senate and 71% of voters in support, we can ban income taxes and make the New Hampshire Advantage Amendment a reality this November. The voters deserve a say, and all we need is for Democrat Leader Alexis Simpson to get on board.”
