CONCORD, NH – House Health, Human Services and Elderly Affairs Vice-Chair Lisa Mazur (R-Goffstown) and House Speaker Pro Tempore Jim Kofalt (R-Wilton) released the following statement after the House voted to adopt the Committee of Conference report on HB 1376, (New Title) relative to a parent’s ability to raise their child in a manner consistent with the child’s biological sex.
House Health and Human Services Committee Vice-Chair Lisa Mazur (R-Goffstown):
“Republicans have always been clear that the State has no business in telling parents that raising their child according to their biological sex is abuse. HB 1376 ensures that this decision cannot be used against parents in custody disputes or any other family law determination,” said Mazur.
House Speaker Pro Tempore Jim Kofalt (R-Wilton):
“Reasonable parenting should not be weaponized by courts and government agencies against families who hold traditional values. We refuse to stand by while radical woke gender ideology strips parents of their rights and falsely distorts biological reality.”
“New Hampshire families resoundingly agree that parents decide how to raise their children, not the government. Here in the Live Free or Die state, we will always stand up for our families and the fundamental truth that there are only two genders.”
