CONCORD, NH – Deputy House Majority Leader Joe Sweeney (R-Salem) released the following statement after Claremont Public Schools secured a loan to cover up their administrators’ blatant budget mismanagement.
“As the overpaid and underperforming administrators of the Claremont School District pat themselves on the back for securing a loan, one is left to wonder, how much are the students and taxpayers going to suffer when these same administrators inevitably continue to drop the ball in balancing their budget and the bank comes calling?”
“Claremont made their intentions crystal clear when they decided to cut teachers, student services, activities, and sports but left the administrators responsible for this boondoggle to collect their bloated paychecks,” continued Sweeney, “The taxpayers and students deserve better than this halfhearted attempt to stop the bleeding, and that begins by delivering accountability and reigning in the absurd, out of control spending that Claremont is wasting on administrators who cannot perform even the most basic functions of their jobs.”
