Concord, NH — Today, the New Hampshire House Republicans proudly announced their “Contract with New Hampshire,” a bold policy outline that lays out the GOP’s legislative priorities for the upcoming session. The Contract focuses on key areas, including property taxes and housing, education, energy, healthcare, public safety, and more, with a commitment to delivering practical solutions that benefit Granite Staters.

The “Contract with New Hampshire” is a pledge to the people of the state to focus on commonsense policies that protect New Hampshire’s values and ensure a brighter future for all. The priorities aim to enhance transparency, reduce taxes and spending, foster job creation, and safeguard public safety while preserving the state’s unique identity and community character.

House Majority Leader Jason Osborne emphasized the importance of putting people first: “This is about making sure New Hampshire remains the best place to live, work, and raise a family. Our Contract is a roadmap for real, effective change that keeps the government accountable, respects local control, and protects the rights and wallets of our citizens.”

“The Contract includes efforts to provide clear communication about the tax impacts on property owners, lower property taxes by directing state surplus funds to local towns, and strike a balance between local control and the need to increase housing supply. Additionally, the Contract aims to foster a vibrant economy by reducing burdens to job creation, protecting workers, and ensuring no new taxes on the residents of New Hampshire.”

Speaker Sherm Packard expressed his confidence in the plan: “We are committed to building a safer, more prosperous New Hampshire. Our Contract is about empowering individuals, protecting freedoms, and ensuring that every family has the opportunity to thrive. We will stand firm against policies that would raise taxes or stifle economic growth. This is a contract with the people of New Hampshire, and we intend to keep it.”

“The ‘Contract with New Hampshire’ also outlines plans to increase parental involvement in education, hold schools accountable, streamline energy markets to reduce costs, and expand access to affordable childcare. The House Republicans reaffirm their commitment to safety by supporting law enforcement and addressing bail reform. Additionally, they pledge to protect New Hampshire’s current abortion laws and implement verified citizen voting to maintain the integrity of elections.”

“With this Contract, the New Hampshire House Republicans aim to build a stronger, more vibrant state, prioritizing fiscal responsibility, individual freedom, and a government that works for its people.”
