CONCORD, NH: House Majority Jason Osborne (R-Auburn) released the following statement after House Democrats filed a bill which would institute both income and sales taxes.
“After refusing to ban a statewide income tax just months ago, House Democrats have announced their plans for your wallet. Spoiler alert, it involves taking your money through an income tax and a sales tax. Make no mistake, Republicans want solutions, Democrats want your money,” Majority Leader Osborne began.
“House Democrats may claim they oppose an income tax, but do not be fooled. When House Republicans gave them the chance to permanently ban income taxes in New Hampshire, House Democrats overwhelmingly voted no. Now they are back with their eighth attempt to impose an income tax on Granite Staters in just three years. Come November, the voters will know who wants solutions and who wants their money,” Osborne Concluded
“I encourage all Granite Staters to join me in giving this absurd proposal a big HELL NO.”
