House Majority Leader Jason Osborne released the following statement after Democrats obstructed the New Hampshire Advantage Amendment, banning income taxes from the State of New Hampshire.
“This week, our state watched in horror as Andru Volinsky, flanked by House Democrats, proposed a billion-dollar income tax. While House Democrat leadership was quick to claim that they did not support the idea, they balked at the very first chance they had to make an actual stand.”
“Let’s not forget, the very first thing House Democrats did this year was try to introduce an income tax. Now, barely three months into the year, Democrats have tried to hike taxes by more than $1.9 billion. From the food you eat, to the ground you stand on to the paycheck you bring home, Democrats will not stop until all of your money is in the government’s greedy hands.”
He concluded, “The New Hampshire Advantage is under attack. November is coming, and I hope Granite Staters don’t forget what they saw today. Republicans are fighting to defend your wallet while Democrats are fighting to take it away. ”
