CONCORD, NH – State Representative Valerie McDonnell (R-Salem) released the following statement as Governor Ayotte signed Universal Education Freedom Account eligibility into law.
“Today I was proud to join my fellow Republicans to sign universal eligibility for Education Freedom Accounts into law,” said McDonnell. “The wildly successful Education Freedom Account Program has been transformative for thousands of students all around New Hampshire. On top of saving taxpayers over $266 million in its opening years, this program has operated with absolute transparency, with every single cent audited and accounted for by the Children’s Scholarship Fund.”
“Considering the program’s incredible success, I am thrilled to help expand this program to more students for the upcoming school year. Thank you to Governor Ayotte for signing this legislation and to all of our hardworking Granite State students for inspiring our legislators to stand up for your educational opportunities.”
