CONCORD, NH – House Criminal Justice Committee Chairman Terry Roy (R-Candia) released the following statement after the House passed SB 62, relative to law enforcement participation in a federal immigration program, on a vote of 200-162.
“Democrats are trying to hide under the guise of local control to push their disastrous open-border agenda, but Republicans will not fall for it. When you make your community a haven for illegal aliens and murderers, there is no force field keeping them in one place. This issue affects all Granite Staters and Republicans in the House, Senate, and Corner Office are unified in saying no more to the reckless open-border policies that jeopardize the safety of the Granite Staters.”
“These open-border policies don’t work and pose a massive threat to the safety, security, and prosperity of our state and our nation. Republicans in all legislative chambers of our State House are united in slamming the door shut on open borders and to ensure that New Hampshire is a land of law and order.”
