CONCORD, NH – Just hours after House Republicans renewed calls for the resignation of Stephanie Johnson, Executive Councillor John Stephen announced that Stephanie Johnson has been relieved of duty. In response, Deputy Majority Leader Joe Sweeney (R-Salem) released this follow-up statement:
“With disgraced former Magistrate Johnson far away from the judicial bench, we can begin to heal and move forward. In the coming weeks, Republicans will file legislation to bring accountability to our judicial system so that we never see another situation like this again.”
“We will always remember Marisol Fuentes and strive to deliver justice in her name. The ousting of Stephanie Johnson is a victory for law, order and most importantly, the safety of Granite Staters.”
