HOUSE DEMOCRATS VOTE TO ALLOW AN INCOME TAX

CONCORD, NH- House Majority Leader Jason Osborne (R-Auburn) and House Ways and Means Chairman John Janigian (R-Salem) released the following statement after House Democrats voted to allow an income tax.

House Ways and Means Committee Chairman John Janigian (R-Salem):

“Only House Democrats would try to permanently make life less affordable by attempting to create a new tax.”

“Democrats know Granite Staters overwhelmingly oppose an income tax. Yet they are still doing everything they can to roll out the red carpet for their party’s $1 billion income tax. The message from Democrats could not be more clear: they do not care about you. They only care about taking your money.”

Majority Leader Jason Osborne (R-Auburn):

“The New Hampshire Advantage Amendment was an opportunity for all elected legislators to come together and deliver for Granite Staters but Democrats ignored our olive branches at every turn.”

“Today’s actions confirm: the Democrats support an income tax and they’ll stop at nothing to implement one. To that, our party stands united to say, NO INCOME TAX. NOT NOW. NOT EVER.”

“November is coming. Remember who stood up for the New Hampshire Advantage and who tried to raid your wallet.”
