Behind Closed Doors: Democrats Quietly Compete for a Chance to Co-Sponsor?

House Majority Leader Jason Osborne today noted the silent enthusiasm with which House Democrats must be lining up to join him in co-sponsoring Rep Belcher’s CHARLIE Act. Clearly they are anxious to cast aside the culture of hostility that recently culminated in the tragic assassination of Charlie Kirk.

“Democrats are always quick to clutch their pearls over every tweet. I know they will be equally quick to jump on this incredible opportunity to reject the celebration of violence against Americans.” said Osborne. “Evidently, they are all fighting amongst themselves behind closed doors for the honor of attaching their name to this bill.”

Osborne emphasized his continued commitment to “turning up the heat” on exposing those who glorify violence, while also offering Democrats an olive branch. It couldn’t possibly be the case that they are entirely disingenuous about lowering the temperature. Rep. Osborne remains approachable and amenable to sharing the cause side by side.

“So far, no Democrat has stepped forward,” Osborne added. “I expect to hear from them any minute now, though. Until then, Republicans will continue leading the charge to root out hatred and eradicate it wherever it festers.”
