House Republicans Stand Against Sanctuary Policies

House Majority Leader Jason Osborne (R-Auburn) released the following statement after the New Hampshire House of Representatives passed HB 511, the Anti-Sanctuary Act, and HB 71, the Schools Not Shelters Act.

“Today House Republicans resoundingly and unanimously voted to ban dangerous and lawless Sanctuary City policies and to keep our schools from being used as housing for illegal aliens. Our position is clear, we will not allow our communities to be overrun by an invasion of illegal aliens. House Republicans’ votes today demonstrate our commitment to ensuring that we uphold law, order, and public safety.”

“By passing the Anti-Sanctuary Act and the Schools Not Shelters Act, Republicans are sending a united message that offers a stark contrast to our neighboring states. While Massachusetts suffers a crisis thanks to their detrimental sanctuary policies and housing of illegal aliens, New Hampshire will remain a place where we respect the rule of law. In 2024, the voters handed us a mandate to get this job done and House Republicans will not Mass up New Hampshire.”
