House Republicans Bring Certainty to the Housing Market

House Housing Committee Chairman Joe Alexander (R-Goffstown) released the following statement after House Republicans passed HB60, a bill aimed at providing greater stability for tenants and housing providers.

“This legislation requires housing providers to give at least 60 days’ written notice before the expiration of a lease lasting six months or more, ensuring tenants have ample time to secure alternative housing,” Chairman Alexander explained. “This strikes a fair balance, giving housing providers the ability to plan for the future while ensuring tenants receive the necessary time to transition. HB60 fosters a more predictable rental market by reducing sudden displacements and promoting responsible property management.”

Chairman Alexander continued, “HB60 will create a more stable and transparent housing market. While Democrats actively work against solving the housing crisis by trying to implement their socialist ideals, I am confident that this is a necessary step towards improving our state’s housing market.”
