House Republicans Successfully Defend Long-Standing Institutional Policy

Concord, NH – House Majority Leader Jason Osborne (R-Auburn) released the following statement after the House defeated a number of Democrat proposals attempting to change House Rules.

“I am proud of House Republicans for defending this institution from attacks on our traditions and long-standing policy on constitutional rights. Much like their DC counterparts’, New Hampshire Democrats attempted to fundamentally undermine our legislature by proposing proxy voting, remote meetings, and an infringement on constitutional carry.”

“The Democrats’ proposals were so out-of-line that even members of their own party turned their backs on their extremist agenda. Today we slammed the door on Democrats’ continued obsession with Zoom meetings and disarming our citizens, and we will continue to do so in the future.”
