Concord, NH – House Majority Leader Jason Osborne (R-Auburn) released the following statement after the introduction of the New Hampshire Advantage Amendment into the House Ways and Means committee. This amendment would ban an income tax from the State of New Hampshire.
“From the Governor’s office to the Senate Floor to the House Chamber, Republicans unanimously reject income taxes, period. Our party has rejected more than $3.9 billion in proposed tax hikes this year, and we are not slowing down in our defense of the New Hampshire Advantage,” said Osborne.
“Not a single income tax proponent is able to explain how shackling a $1 billion income tax on every Granite Stater will make life affordable for anyone,” said Osborne.
“The message from our party is clear: No Income Tax. Not Now. Not ever. While millions of Americans worry about their tax bill today, we are taking concrete steps to protect Granite Staters,” Osborne concluded.
