Representative Roy Praises Passage of Bill Protecting Minors from Gender Experimentation and Mutilation

Concord, NH – Prime Sponsor of HB619, Representative Terry Roy (R-Deerfield) released the following statement after the House passed an amended version of HB619, to require a person to attain the age of majority for genital gender reassignment surgery on a bipartisan vote of 199-175.

“As the prime sponsor, I am proud that HB619 passed the House today on a bipartisan vote. If this bill becomes law, it would put New Hampshire as the first state in the northeast to protect minors from gender experimentation and mutilation. I will continue to fight to get this bill through the Senate and on to the governor’s desk to ensure minors are protected from these irreversible actions.”
