House Majority Leader Comments on Committee Vote Vaccine Mandate Ban

House Majority Leader Jason Osborne (R-Auburn) released the following statement after the Education Committee passed HB255, as amended, on a bipartisan vote of 11-8.

“Welcome to New Hampshire, President Biden! I hope that we made you feel welcome by giving HB255 a bipartisan green light out of the Education Committee. An overwhelming majority of those who attended today’s hearing made it clear they do not support your vaccine mandate. This is the first step in pushing back against your vastly overreaching federal government and ensuring that Granite Staters who choose to exercise their right to health freedom will not lose their job.”

“I applaud the members of the Education Committee who took this amendment up today and did the right thing for New Hampshire. While it is my hope that the president pays attention to the message we sent him on the heels of his visit today, I will not hold my breath. I look forward to passing this bill at our first opportunity when it comes before the House in January.”
