House Passes Access to Curriculum Materials

Concord, NH- House Deputy Majority Leader Laurie Sanborn (R-Bedford) released the following statement after the House passed HB1434-FN, relative to the availability of school curriculum materials, on a vote of 185-152.

“I applaud the House for passing legislation to provide for the availability of curriculum materials to a parent, legal guardian, or resident of a public school district. We support our teachers, and we support our schools. This does not mean parents should not have access to what their children are being taught. Parents, taxpayers, and residents have a natural right to know what is being taught in their schools, and this bill does just that.”
