CONCORD, NH – House Majority Leader Jason Osborne (R-Auburn) released the following statement after the House passed House Bill 1044, legislation that would allow facilities that exclusively take direct payments from patients to be licensed by the state.
“House Republicans have made a commitment to giving New Hampshire residents more choices in where they receive health care. With the advances in direct primary care, it only makes sense to allow facilities that take direct payment to open across the state. These facilities can offer high quality care that is significantly more affordable than the existing options. Unlike Democrats who were swayed by protecting the existing special interests, Republican placed a higher priority on lowering health care costs for Granite Staters.”
