House Votes Down Taxpayer Funded Elections

Concord, NH- House Election Law Committee Vice Chairman Ross Berry (R-Manchester) released the following statement after the House voted 201-163 on Inexpedient to Legislate on HB324, relative to campaign contributions and expenditures and making an appropriation therefor.

“Today’s vote defeated a $6,000,000.00 boondoggle which attempted to funnel tax dollars from New Hampshire’s families into the pockets of political consultants and operatives.”

“Voting this down was a win for every person who does not want their hard-earned money going towards a candidate that holds the complete opposite value set than their own.”
